Team Records and Series Notes

• Kentucky is 17-4 overall while Kansas is now 19-2.
• Kentucky leads the series 22-8, including 7-2 in Lexington.  
• Next for Kentucky: the Wildcats host Georgia on Tuesday at 9 p.m.  The game will be televised on ESPN. 

In the First Half

• Kentucky started the lineup of Isaiah Briscoe, De’Aaron Fox, Malik Monk, Wenyen Gabriel and Bam Adebayo for the 15th time this season.  UK is 11-4 with this lineup.
• Trailing 8-7, UK took the lead with a 7-0 spurt, capped by a 3-pointer by Derek Willis that extended Kentucky’s streak of 3-pointers to 995 consecutive games.
• Kentucky led by as many as 12 points in the first half. 
• Kentucky stayed ahead the remainder of the half, but Kansas closed with a 7-1 run to pull within 32-27 at intermission.

In the Second Half

• Kansas quickly got a pair of 3-pointers to take its first lead (33-32) since 8-7.
• The teams battled back and forth until Kansas went on an 11-0 run to go ahead 69-59 with 4:41 to play.
• Kentucky got back within four points at 77-73 but no closer as Kansas held on to win.

Team Notes

• Kentucky lost despite holding a 12-point lead in the first half. This was only the fourth loss under Coach John Calipari – first against a nonconference opponent – in which the Wildcats led by at least 10 points.  UK is now 204-4 (.981) under Calipari in games leading by at least 10. 
• Kentucky lost back-to-back games for only the eighth time under Calipari.  Kentucky is now 36-8 under Calipari (.818) in bounce-back games after losses.
• This is only the third time in eight years under Calipari that the Wildcats have lost at least two home games (2012-13 and 2013-14)
• Calipari has a 679-191 (.780) on-court record, including a 234-51 (.821) mark at UK.
o UK is 47-20 against Associated Press Top 25 teams under Calipari, 5-3 vs. top-five teams.
• Kentucky has an all-time mark of 556-66 (.894) in Rupp Arena.  
o UK is 129-6 (.956) at Rupp Arena under John Calipari.

Player Notes  

• Senior Derek Willis had a season-high 18 points, boosted by a season-best 5 of 6 on 3-point shots.
• Freshman Malik Monk tallied 18 points, continuing his streak of double-figure scoring in every game this season.
• Sophomore Isaiah Briscoe had 12 points, a game-high six assists and tied for the team lead in rebounds with eight.
• Briscoe has nabbed 22 rebounds over the last two games.
• Freshman Bam Adebayo had 10 points, his third straight game in double figures, while tying Briscoe for the team lead in rebounds with eight.
• Freshman De’Aaron Fox had 10 points, his 18th game this season in double figures.  
• Senior Mychal Mulder missed his third game in a row because of illness.
