UKathletics.com to Air Live Media Day Special
LEXINGTON, Ky. – Fans eager for the 2016 Kentucky football season will be able to follow along with Media Day festivities unlike ever before on Friday.
In conjunction with the annual event marking the start of fall camp, UKathletics.com will air a live Media Day special from the recruiting patio at Commonwealth Stadium. The hour-long live stream, which will begin at 11 a.m. on Friday, will be hosted by Christi Thomas and former UK quarterback Freddie Maggard.
Thomas and Maggard will conduct exclusive live interviews with coaches and members of the team as they preview the 2016 season. Head coach Mark Stoops, projected starting quarterback Drew Barker, linebacker Courtney Love and Athletics Director Mitch Barnhart are among those scheduled to appear.
Prior to the live stream, Media Day press conferences featuring Stoops, Eddie Gran and D.J. Eliot will be live on UKathletics.com beginning at 9:45 a.m.
The 2016 Kentucky Wildcats will report for fall camp on Thursday before participating in Friday’s Media Day. Fan Day festivities will follow on Saturday, with autographs in Nutter Field House at 9 a.m. and open practice at 11 a.m. at the practice fields adjacent to the newly opened Kentucky Football Training Facility. UK is preparing for its 2016 season opener vs. Southern Miss, which will kick off at 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 3 in Commonwealth Stadium.
