Short Fifth, Duckworth Sixth After Day One at Bulldog Decathlon

Ga. – Cameron Short and Tim Duckworth turned in strong performances on Wednesday, the first day of Georgia’s Bulldog Decathlon.
Short sits in fifth place through his first five decathlon events of 2016 with 4028 points. Duckworth is sixth on 3998 points.
Short recorded personal bests in the shot put and 400 meters, and cleared a new
best high jump clearance during his time at UK by a half-inch at 6’10.25”/2.09m.
Duckworth produced PRs in the shot put by more than eight feet, in the long
jump by 5.5 inches and in the 400m. He also ran wind-aided PR in the 100m.
