Kentucky Softball Announces 2015 Fall Schedule

LEXINGTON, Ky. – After a fourth NCAA Super Regional appearance in the last five years in 2015, the University of Kentucky softball team under the direction of Rachel Lawson, who is entering her ninth year as head coach, announced its fall schedule on Monday afternoon.

The fall season for UK starts on Sunday, Sept. 27 against Eastern Kentucky with a doubleheader at Hood Field in Richmond, Ky. 

On Friday, Oct. 2, Kentucky will play its first pair of four fall games at John Cropp Stadium in Lexington, Ky., with a doubleheader against Georgetown set to start at 5 p.m. ET. 

Admission to all fall home games is free of charge, while free parking is available in the lots surrounding John Cropp Stadium.

UK will close out the home portion of its fall schedule with a doubleheader against Western Kentucky on Saturday, Oct. 10 with game one starting at 1 p.m. ET. The following day (Oct. 11), Kentucky will make the trip north to Columbus to face Kent State (11 a.m. ET) and Ohio State (1 p.m. ET) in a doubleheader hosted by the Buckeyes.

*Friday, Oct. 2 vs. Georgetown (DH) – John Cropp Stadium (Lexington, Ky.) – 5 p.m. ET

*Saturday, Oct. 10 vs. Western Kentucky (DH) – John Cropp Stadium (Lexington, Ky.) – 1 p.m. ET

*Sunday, Oct. 11 vs. Kent State (11 a.m. ET) and vs. Ohio State (1 p.m. ET) – Buckeye Field (Columbus, Ohio)
