Huntington, W.Va.  – Kentucky will look to regain its mojo as the Conference USA season begins Saturday at Marshall. Kickoff is set for 11 a.m.

The setup
Kentucky enters the match looking to climb back over the .500 mark, and start the conference season with a result. UK is 2-2-1 this season, after starting the year with two home wins.
Saturday’s match is the Kentucky’s third road contest in the last four.
Freshman Xahne Reid’s first career goal was not enough Kentucky lost 3-1 in its last outing at East Tennessee State University on Wednesday.

The quote
“We just have to find a way to recover and regroup,” UK head coach Johan Cedergren said. “We’re opening conference play on Saturday. In the end we’re .500 now, 2-2-1. I think what we need is a little bit of a change in mentality.”
The opponent
Marshall enters the match 4-2-0 (W-L-D) this season. Kentucky leads the all-time series 17-7-3, and has won the last three meetings in shutout performances including 2-0 at The Bell last season.
Marshall’s senior midfielder Jack Hopkins’s four assists this year ranks fourth in Division I. He also leads Conference USA. Rimario Gordon and Chris Taibi rank seventh in game-winning goals nationally with two apiece. The duo is tied for the second most in C-USA.
