LUBBOCK, Texas – Junior David Snyder and freshman Tyler `Chip’ McDaniel concluded action at The Rawls Course the site of the Lubbock NCAA Regional on Saturday.

“We have two thoroughbreds in David and Chip, just two fabulously talented players” UK coach Brian Craig said. “They did not have their best week, but you can’t help but see and appreciate the level of their games.

“We will build this team around these two next year and I can’t wait,” Craig said. “Once this team gets healthy, we are going to make enormous strides and represent the Big Blue Nation the way it deserves to be represented.”

Snyder wrapped up competition in a tie for 39th overall following a 4-over par final round. McDaniel finished in a tie for 54th with a 3-over par round on Saturday. The Manchester, Ky., native concluded his freshman campaign with birdies on two of his final three holes of the afternoon to end his first collegiate postseason competition in stylish fashion.

The duo combined for 14 top 20 finishes, six top 10 finishes, two tournament victories and tied for the lead in stroke average for the season. McDaniel was tabbed to the Southeastern Conference Freshman team after placing 11th at the league tournament in April. Snyder had a string of five consecutive top 20 finishes to begin the spring season to highlight his junior campaign.

With the final round of play at the Lubbock Regional on Saturday, UK’s 2014-15 season has officially come to a close. In addition to the returns of Snyder and McDaniel, UK will also return four additional players in Cristian DiMarco, Harrison Greenberry, Cooper Musselman and Stephen Stallings who all appeared in five or more tournaments this season in 2015-16.
