LEXINGTON, Ky. – For the 11th-consecutive season head coach Brian Craig will lead his Kentucky team to the Hootie at Bulls Bay Intercollegiate in Awendaw, S.C., beginning on Sunday.

The 56-hole tournament will be played over a three-day span beginning on Sunday and concluding on Tuesday. The Bulls Bay Golf Club will host a par 72, 7,363-yard event for 15 collegiate golf teams.

“The Hootie at Bulls Bay is one of the most unique events in college golf,” Craig said. “We have been fortunate to compete in this tournament since its inception. Our team is improving, and I like the trajectory we are on. I am looking forward to continued improvement this week.”

The Wildcats are coming off their best tournament of the season last week. UK placed fourth overall at the Schenkel Invitational. UK had all four players on the course record under-par rounds over the final 18 holes to tally a season-low score of 278 and rise up the ranks.

Junior David Snyder led the way for the Cats with a ninth-place finish, while reigning Southeastern Conference Freshman Golfer of the Week, Tyler `Chip’ McDaniel, posted a career-low round of 66 over the final 18 holes to finish in a tie for 12th overall. Snyder and McDaniel will join freshman Cooper Musselman in the lineup this week. The trio has competed in every event this season for the Blue and White.

Sophomore Stephen Stallings will also return to the UK lineup this week. Stallings turned in a career-best performance at the Schenkel Invitational last week. Rounding out UK’s field will be freshman Cristian DiMarco will make his first collegiate start.

In addition to Kentucky, the field consists of Auburn, Charleston Southern, Coastal Carolina, College of Charleston, Duke, Georgia Regents, Missouri, NC State, New Mexico, South Carolina, Virginia, Wake Forest, Winthrop and Wisconsin.
