LEXINGTON, Ky. – Due to inclement weather canceling several games in February, eighth-year head coach Rachel Lawson has added three games over the next two weeks to the University of Kentucky softball team’s 2015 schedule, it was announced on Monday.

Kentucky (14-5, 1-2 Southeastern Conference) will now play three games this weekend against Ohio, starting with a doubleheader on Saturday at 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. ET. The series finale will be Sunday at 1 p.m. ET. All three games will be at John Cropp Stadium.

UK has also added a road doubleheader at Murray State on Tuesday, March 17 starting at 2 p.m. ET. The twinbill will mark the first ever meeting between the two in-state schools in softball.

The late additions will help UK make up for the three games the Wildcats lost with the cancelation of the 2015 Frost Classic, which was canceled due to inclement weather in the Chattanooga, Tenn., area.

After completing a 19-game road trip to start the season, Kentucky will open its 2015 home schedule on Wednesday against EKU. Season tickets for the 2015 season are on sale now for $35 per seat and are general admission tickets (no reserved seating). Season tickets include all regular-season home games, including four three-game home sets in SEC play against LSU, Alabama, South Carolina and Georgia

Tickets are available by calling the UK Ticket Office at 1-800-928-2287, in person at the Joe Craft Center Ticket Office or online at www.ukathletics.com/tickets. Single-game tickets are on sale now and are $5 for adults, $2 for seniors (ages 65 or older) and youth (ages 6-18) while children ages five and under will be admitted free of charge.
