Over the next two weeks, Cat Scratches will give fans an inside look at UK softball’s 2015 roster with 20 fun questions and a quick outlook heading into the team’s season opener on Feb. 4 vs. Florida A&M. Sophomore pitcher Meagan Prince earned eight wins in the circle last season for Kentucky, including starting the Southeastern Conference Tournament Championship Game. Prince ended the year with an 8-4 record, striking out 61 batters in 70.2 innings pitched with one save and a 3.47 ERA. Prince had several key appearances for the Wildcats, including throwing three scoreless innings against highly ranked Texas and Tennessee to seal two UK victories. The southpaw was brilliant in Kentucky’s three-game sweep of Ole Miss, throwing four innings combined in two games to pick up the first save of her career. The native of Martin, Tenn., had a great fall for Kentucky, tossing over 18 innings with only three earned runs allowed and 17 strikeouts. A member of the 2014 SEC Academic Honor Roll, Prince’s continued development could play a critical role in UK’s success in 2015.  Come see Meagan and the rest of the Kentucky Wildcats this spring at John Cropp Stadium. UK’s home opener is March 11 vs. EKU at 5 p.m. ET. Season tickets can be purchased by calling the UK Ticket Office at 1-800-928-2287, in person at the Joe Craft Center Ticket Office or online at www.ukathletics.com/tickets.  To help you get to know Meagan better, it’s time to play a game called 20 questions.
