Team Records and Series Notes

• Kentucky is in its 41st season of varsity women’s basketball.
• Kentucky is now 714-486 (59.5) all-time, including 411-57 (87.8) at home (includes games in Rupp Arena).
• UK is 23-13 all-time in games played at Rupp Arena.
• Matthew Mitchell is in his eighth season as the head coach of the Wildcats. He already ranks first on UK’s all-time wins list with 172 and winning percentage (.710).
• Tonight’s comeback ties the 10th-largest comeback in UK history and the second-largest in the Matthew Mitchell era. UK trailed by 14 points (40-26) with 18:31 to play in the second half.
• This was the fourth meeting between Kentucky and Baylor, the first in the Commonwealth. The series is now tied 2-2.
• Tonight marked UK’s sixth straight win at home, dating back to last season.
• The win is UK’s first over a top-10 team since upsetting No. 5/7 South Carolina, 68-58, in the SEC Tournament semifinals last season (March 8, 2014.)

• Next up: UK will play host to Morehead State Wednesday, Nov. 19 at 11 a.m. ET in Memorial Coliseum, with the game broadcast on the SEC Network+. The game will be held in front of approximately 1,500 local sixth-graders who will be visiting UK’s campus.

First Half Notes

• UK started with the lineup of Jennifer O’Neill, Janae Thompson, Kyvin Goodin-Rogers, Bria Goss and Azia Bishop.
  • This lineup is 2-0 as the same started in a 111-74 win over Appalachian State.
• Janee Thompson had the first score of the game.
• UK forced three-straight turnovers, while on a 4-0 run to lead into the under 16 media timeout.  
• Sophomore Linnae Harper scored six-straight points for the Wildcats to give UK the 8-6 lead after trailing 4-2. All three field goals were jump shots from outside the paint.
• Baylor took a 34-24 lead into the locker room.

Second Half Notes

• UK began the second half with the same starting five who started the game.
• After being fouled in the process of shooting a 3, Jen O’Neill stepped to the free-throw line and scored her fifth, sixth and seventh points of the game to push her over 1,000 career points. She becomes the 30th player all-time in UK history to eclipse the 1,000-point mark.
• Kentucky went on a 10-0 run spanning over two minutes to cut the Baylor lead from a then-game high of 14 at 40-26 to 40-36 ahead of the under-16 media timeout.
• UK tied the game at 47 all with 12:02 remaining in the second half. That marked the first time the game had been tied since 8-8.
• Bria Goss hit a 3-point FG with 7:29 remaining in the second half to give Kentucky its first lead since it was 8-6 UK in the first half. She then sank two free throws coming out of the media timeout to give UK a three-point lead.
• Azia Bishop picked up back-to-back blocks in the second half to move her into fifth solo all-time after tying fifth in the first half.
• Jen O’Neill went on a personal 7-0 run, including a clutch corner 3-point FG with 1:04 to go in the game to push UK’s lead from one to four points with one minute remaining at 68-64. She was 0-of-10 from beyond the arc until hitting that 3-pointer.
• Led by a game-high 22 points from Jen O’Neill, Kentucky scored the final 10 points of the game, as UK held the Lady Bears without a basket the final 2:28 of the game, as UK finished the game on a 10-0 run.
• Jen O’Neill and Makayla Epps scored 13 of the Wildcats’ final 14 points to close out the game.
• UK outscored Baylor 50-30 in the second half.
• Kentucky finished the game with its largest lead, 10 points.

Team/Game Notes

• The Wildcats shot 21-of-59 from the field (35 percent).
• UK made six 3-point field goals.
• UK finished with three players in double figures, led by Jen O’Neill who had a team-high 22. Makayla Epps had 12 points with 11 points for sophomore Linnae Harper.
• Nine of the 11 UK players that entered the game scored.
• UK won the turnover battle 24-19, with the Wildcats scoring 20 points off turnovers.
• UK is now 31-37 vs. ranked teams in the Matthew Mitchell era, including 13-21 vs. teams in the top 10.

Individual Notes

• Fifth-year senior guard Jennifer O’Neill led all scorers in the game with 22 points, including scoring 18 in the decisive second half.
