UK Track & Field Pays Visit to VA Medical Center

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Kentucky track and field team recently continued its tradition of giving back to the community when it paid a visit to the United States Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center on the UK campus.

Members of the Wildcats’ track and field team visited with veterans in the hospital, conversed, distributed UK Athletics apparel and attempted to help lift spirits.

Multiple team-members heard stories about past service from veterans during in-room visits.

The Wildcats are scheduled to visit VA Medical Centers throughout the year.

The team has upped its efforts recently to help give back to our nation’s veterans.
