LEXINGTON, Ky. – The University of Kentucky women’s golf team travels to Franklin, Tennessee to participate in the Mason Rudolph Championship hosted by Vanderbilt from Sept. 19-21. Some of the nation’s top teams will tee it up at the Legends Club South Course, with five being ranked in Golfweek’s preseason top 30.

“We are ready to get on the road again as this was a quick turnaround for us,” head coach Golda Johansson Borst said. “Overall it’s been a solid week of practice and we’re looking forward to getting back on the course in the Mason Rudolph, which is traditionally one of the toughest tournaments we play in. With that said, we are looking forward to the challenge and to getting better this week.”

Kentucky’s lineup for the Mason Rudolph will feature sophomores Haley Mills and Ale Walker, junior Cylia Damerau, freshman Grace Rose and junior Sarah Harris, who will be making her season debut. Sophomore Megan Kinney will play as an individual. The Wildcats are coming off a fifth place finish at last week’s “MO”Morial Invitational where three golfers finished in the top 25 (Mills-4, Walker-T20, Damerau-T25). For Mills, it was her third career top 10 finish, while Walker tallied the second top 20 finish of her young career.

The Mason Rudolph Championship, being held at the Vanderbilt Legends Club South Course will be set up as a par-72, 6,321-yard setup. It marks the first time in the 14 year history of the event, the tournament will be held on the South Course.
