Second Round Results

Sunday Tee Times
LEXINGTON, Ky. – Hosting its first tournament since 2011, the University of Kentucky men’s golf team will enter Sunday’s final round of the Bluegrass Invitational in first place after posting a team score of 13-under par, 563, on Saturday afternoon at the University Club. Sunday’s final round will begin at 8 a.m. ET with fixed tee times on holes No. 1 and No. 10.
The Wildcats recorded scores team scores of 280 and 283 on Saturday to lead all teams by four strokes, while Auburn (-9), Cincinnati (-5), Eastern Kentucky (+2) and Tennessee Tech (+5) complete the top five. Louisville’s J.D. Lehman sits atop the individual leaderboard 8-under par, 136.
Rounding out the rest of the team standings were Bradley (+11), Valparaiso (+12), Northern Kentucky (+12), Lipscomb (+19), Dayton (+19), SIU Edwardsville (+26), Wright State (+34) and Morehead State (+39).
“The boys played very solid golf today,” said Kentucky head coach Brian Craig. “I was real proud of our composure and our consistency. We’re in a good position heading into the final round. We need to focus on the things we can control tomorrow and defend our turf.”
Leading the way for Kentucky on the day was senior Ben Stow who recorded rounds of 69 and 70 to place him in fourth with a total score of 5-under par, 139. His first round of 69 was the low round by a Wildcat on the day.
Senior Cody Martin and junior David Snyder will enter the final round tied for seventh with a score of 3-under par, 141. Martin started the day with a 2-under par, 70, and finished the day with a 1-under par, 71. Snyder scored a 1-under par, 71, in the first round and a 2-under par, 70, in the second round.
Sitting one stroke back of Martin and Snyder is senior Stephen Powers at 2-under par, 142. Powers is tied for ninth after rounds of 70 and 72 on Saturday. Junior Will Bishop is tied for 41st at 6-over par, 150 (73-77).
Four Wildcats played as individuals and were led by sophomore Harrison Greenberry who carded a 1-over par, 145 (74-71) to place him in a tie for 18th. Freshman Stephen Stallings is tied for 31st at 3-over par, 147 (70-77). Freshman Hager Collins and sophomore Todd McDaniel are tied for 59th and 68th, respectively. Collins is at 9-over par, 153 (76-77), while McDaniel will enter the final round at 14-over par, 158 (80-78).
