TEMPE, Ariz. — Matt Hillenbrand and Allison Peare won the men’s and women’s 1,500-meter races respectively during the Baldy Castillo Invitational at Arizona State’s Sun Angel Stadium on Friday.

Matt Hillenbrand won with a time of 3:43.90. Kentucky went 1-2 in the metric mile as Keffri Neal was second in 3:45.22. Adam Kahleifeh was 14th, with a time of 3:53.50.

Allison Peare ran 4:23.03 to win the 1500m. Chelsea Oswald was fifth in 4:27.39, Cassidy Hale was ninth in 4:37.77 and Hiruni Wijayaratne was 10th in 4:37.81.

Rebecca Famurewa produced a 3.97m collegiate-best hammer throw 57.61m/185-09 to place fifth in the Baldy Castillo Invitational Hammer Throw. 

Brandi Walker placed 11th with a mark of 48.57m/159-04.
