COLUMBIA, Mo. — Due to the threat inclement weather Sunday in Columbia, Mo., Kentucky and Missouri will play a doubleheader Saturday, starting at 3 p.m. ET at University Field. Game two will start approximately 30 minutes after the completion of game one.
Missouri (16-5, 2-2 Southeastern Conference) claimed game one of the series Friday, 7-2, behind a strong pitching performance from freshman Tori Finucane. Kentucky (19-4, 2-2 SEC) claimed nine hits in the game with senior outfielder Emily Gaines going 2-for-3 with two doubles and a RBI.
Saturday’s doubleheader continues an eight-game road trip for the Wildcats, including consecutive road series to start conference play. The road swing concludes Tuesday with a non-conference contest at Indiana at 5 p.m. ET.
