“Our approach out of the gate was not as good as it needs to be against a team that played as well as Kentucky. They were in control of the game from the start. We got off to a slow start and took some ill-advised shots and allowed them to run out. We couldn’t sustain anything defensively and then the rebounding woes as well.”

On Martavious Newby…

“He gave us great energy. He was supposed to be out four to five week; He was only out three. He practiced for the first time yesterday. I had zero intention of putting him in the game, but I was just looking for life and fight. He gave us that.”

On Jarvis Summers…

“He was aggressive and he cares. He’s a competitor. He’s a warrior. He tweaked his ankle a little bit and had to take him out for that. You can never question Jarvis Summers in any regard.”
