LEXINGTON, Ky. — The Southeastern Conference has released its 2014 baseball television schedule which will feature Kentucky six times, it was announced by the league office on Thursday afternoon.

With the season eight days away, the SEC announced its national television schedule, which will feature over 70 contests derived from broadcasts on ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPNnews, Fox Sports, CBS Sports Network, and Comcast Sports Southeast (CSS).

The complete UK television schedule, which will also feature five games from UK IMG on Fox Sports South, will be finalized in the coming days.

Kentucky’s first TV game of the year will come on Saturday, March 22 vs. South Carolina at Cliff Hagan Stadium, with first pitch slated for 2 p.m. ET for a telecast on Fox Sports.

UK will then have its series finale on March 30 at Vanderbilt, the returning SEC Champion, on ESPNU, with first pitch slated for 2 p.m. ET.

UK will then face Florida in the middle game of the series on April 5 at 1 p.m. ET at Cliff Hagan Stadium. The Wildcats will then play on CSS vs. Ole Miss on April 26 at Cliff Hagan Stadium, with first pitch slated for 1 p.m. ET.

Kentucky will make another annual appearance on the ESPNU Thursday Night SEC Game of the Week on May 1, with its series opener at Tennessee slated for 7:30 p.m. ET at Lindsey Nelson Stadium. The series finale vs. UT is set to air on May 3 at 12 p.m. ET on Fox Sports.

The Wildcats open their 2014 season on Feb. 14 vs. No. 1 Virginia in Wilmington, N.C., at 12 p.m. ET.
