LEXINGTON, Ky. – After picking up its first win at No. 7 Duke since 1974 on Sunday afternoon in Durham, N.C., the No. 9 University of Kentucky men’s tennis team returns home to begin a three-match homestand on Tuesday afternoon as the Wildcats will host No. 56 Indiana at 4 p.m. ET inside the Hilary J. Boone Varsity Tennis Center.

Kentucky (3-0, 0-0 SEC) is off to a great start in 2014, as the Wildcats have recorded three wins in three tries, and have had nine different players receive starts in the singles lineup, with eight of them already recording wins.

The Wildcats have won five straight matches against Indiana, and have been victorious in every meeting between the two sides since the 2007-08 season. Since Indiana and Kentucky began meeting annually back in 1992-93, the Hoosiers have never won a match in Lexington.

In 2013, Kentucky defeated the No. 22 Hoosiers, 5-2, at the IU Indoor Tennis Center in Bloomington. The Wildcats picked up the doubles point with wins on courts two and three, and then used singles wins from Anthony Rossi, Tom Jomby, Charles Minc and Grant Roberts to collect the win.

Tuesday’s match with Indiana will mark the beginning of a three-match homestand for the Wildcats, as Kentucky will also host the Intercollegiate Tennis Association’s Kick-Off Weekend on Friday and Saturday, as the host Wildcats welcome in Notre Dame, Minnesota and BYU.

Doubles play will begin at 4 p.m. ET on Tuesday, with singles play starting 10 minutes after the clinch of the doubles point.
