Kentucky drops to 12-4, and 2-1 in Southeastern Conference action. Arkansas moves to 12-4 overall and 1-2 in league play.
With the loss, Kentucky now leads the series 25-10 and Arkansas leads the series 7-6 in Fayetteville.
Kentucky will return home to host Tennessee Saturday, Jan. 18. Tipoff is set for noon ET on CBS.
UK’s all-time record against SEC foes falls to 913-257 and 64-20 under John Calipari.
Today’s attendance was 18,619.

Kentucky started with the lineup of sophomore Willie Cauley-Stein and freshmen Aaron Harrison, Andrew Harrison, Julius Randle and James Young. That lineup drops to 8-4 on the year. UK has used that starting five in each of its last nine games.
Alex Poythress was the first sub off the bench marking the eighth time he has entered the game first.
UK took its first lead of the game at the 11:51 mark after Aaron Harrison nailed back-to-back 3s to give UK an 18-17 lead.
The first half consisted of nine ties and four lead changes. Arkansas took the final lead of the half on to give free throws from Kikko Haydar with 13 seconds remaining, giving Arkansas a 43-41 edge at the break.
Twelve first half fouls ties the second most fouls the Wildcats have committed in an opening half this season. UK committed 12 fouls in the first half against Michigan State and 15 at North Carolina.
Kentucky’s .684 from the floor in the first half is the Wildcats’ highest shooting percentage in a first half this year.

Arkansas jumped out to a 52-45 lead with 17:44 left in the second half but a 7-3 Kentucky run took the Wildcats into the first timeout down 55-52 at the 15:52 mark.
After the Razorbacks held the lead for over 10 minutes in the second half, UK tied the contest back up at 65-65 with 8:15 to play as Julius Randle sunk a free throw.
UK took its first lead of the second half on a Julius Randle free throw with 7:45 to play, but Arkansas tied it back up on its next possession with a free throw from Michael Qualls.
With the game tied at 70 for nearly two minutes, a Michael Qualls free throw put the Razorbacks up 71-70 with 3:17 to play.
A free throw from Julius Randle with 1:36 to play tied the game back up at 71-71.
A three-point play by Alandise Harris put Arkansas up 74-71 with nine seconds to play Andrew Harrison nailed a 3 with 1.2 seconds to play to send the game to overtime tied at 74.

Aaron Harrison’s lay-up with 4:39 to play in overtime gave UK an early 76-74 lead in the extra period.
After trailing 78-76, Arkansas scored four consecutive point to take an 80-78 lead with 2:41 to play on a lay-up from Michael Qualls.
With Kentucky trailing 85-82, James Young drained a 3 from the top of the key to tie the game at 85 with nine seconds to play.
Arkansas’ Michael Quall put-back dunk on a missed 3 from Rashad Madden with .2 seconds to play to sealed the win for Arkansas at 87-85.

Kentucky trailed 43-41 at halftime and is now 3-3 on the year and 1-1 in conference contests when trailing at the break.
UK extended its 3-point streak to 876 consecutive games, the third longest streak nationally.
UK’s all-time record in the month of January moves to 579-196 and 28-6 under Calipari.
The Wildcats are now 21-8 all-time as the Associated Press’ No. 13 rated squad and 3-1 under Calipari.
The Cats have registered 40 or more rebounds in 14 games this season including hauling in 50 today.
This is Kentucky’s first overtime game this season. The Wildcats won their last overtime game, defeating Missouri 90-83 Feb. 23, 2013 at home.
This was the second overtime game vs. Arkansas in the John Calipari era, with Arkansas defeating the Wildcats 77-76 on Feb. 23, 2011.
UK is now 5-2 in overtime games under John Calipari and 4-2 against SEC foes.
