LEXINGTON, Ky. – If the cooling temperatures and changing of the leaves was not enough of an indication that the fall season has made its way to Lexington, then a University of Kentucky football night game joined with a Keeneland race day should do the trick. And this year, Lextran has teamed with UK and Keeneland to offer fans a shuttle bus to-and-from both events.
On Saturday, Oct. 12 when the University of Kentucky football team takes on No. 1 Alabama for a 7 p.m. ET kickoff at Commonwealth Stadium, fans will have the chance to enjoy both a college football atmosphere and the traditional Keeneland racing tradition without having to move their vehicle as Lextran will be offering a shuttle bus to-and-from Commonwealth Stadium and Keneeland for fans for $1 each way.
Fans with or without reserved parking permits at Commonwealth Stadium can take advantage of the shuttles. Fans with reserved parking permits at Commonwealth Stadium for Saturday’s game are encouraged to park in their respective lots (see above), while fans without reserved parking spots should park in non-permit parking locations (see above). All football gameday parking and permit policies will be enforced.
Shuttles from Commonwealth Stadium to Keeneland will run from 11:30 a.m. ET to 2 p.m. ET and fans can load the buses for the shuttle in the North Red lot via a bus stop located directly west of Bluegrass Community and Technical College. Return shuttles from Keeneland will start arriving at CWS after 4:30 p.m. ET and fans will be dropped off on Cooper Drive, just west of University Drive due to one-way inbound traffic flow.
