TAMPA, Fla. – The University of Kentucky men’s golf team concluded their final round at the Gary Koch Invitational in Tampa, Fla., on Tuesday, shooting a 19-over-par, 307 to finish in eighth place of the 14-team field. The Wildcats were 22-over for the tournament, recording top-10 team finishes in all six of their spring tournaments.

“The Wildcats had a tough day today and luckily only fell one spot,” head coach Brian Craig said. “Basically, we had one good round this week but did not play our best the other two rounds. The good news is that this will not hurt our postseason chances and I absolutely believe in this team. We will work hard this week to be prepared for the SEC Championship next week.”

Juniors Cody Martin and Ben Stow each finished the invitational tied for 29th at 5-over-par. Martin shot 3-over-par, 75 on Tuesday, while Stow fired a 6-over-par, 78.

Stephen Powers was 4-over-par on the day, finishing 6-over for the 54-hole tournament. The junior placed tied for 33rd. Senior Chase Parker finished tied for 48th at 10-over, while Bishop placed 52nd at 11-over-par.

Freshman Harrison Greenberry, who competed as an individual, fired a 4-over-par, 76 in the first round yesterday before withdrawing due to a pulled muscle. Greenberry was inactive as well on Tuesday due to the injury.
