Awendaw, S.C. – The University of Kentucky men’s golf team travels to Awendaw, S.C., to compete in the Hootie at Bulls Bay Intercollegiate The 54-hole tournament is a three-day event on a par-72, 7,282-yard layout at the Bulls Bay Golf Club.
“The Hootie at Bulls Bay is one of our favorite events of the year,” head coach Brian Craig said. “The golf course is unique in the challenges it presents and this year’s field is particularly strong. We took a nice step forward on our spring break trip and need to continue to improve. The key, as always, will be to focus on what we can control and let go of the rest. This team has talent and I can’t wait to see it come out like I know it will.”
Kentucky’s lineup will feature senior Chase Parker, Juniors Cody Martin, Stephen Powers and Ben Stow, along with sophomore Will Bishop.
Stow recorded his first career top-10 finish in the Wildcats’ previous tournament at the Schenkel Invitational. The Salisbury, Englad native finished tied for ninth, leading UK at 1-under-par. Powers has two top-10 finishes in the spring season, placing tied for sixth in the USF and Tiger Invitationals.
The Wildcats will compete against 14 teams in the invitational, Auburn, Augusta State, Clemson, College of Charleston, Duke, LSU, Missouri, N.C. State, North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas A&M, Virginia, Wake Forest and Wisconsin.
