BATON ROUGE, La. – The second round of the LSU Tiger Golf Classic wrapped up on Saturday with the University of Kentucky women’s golf team in ninth place at 39-over-par. The Wildcats were 23-over on the day and will conclude the tournament with a final round of 18 on Sunday beginning at 9:30 a.m. ET with a shotgun start.
Senior Ashleigh Albrecht led the way for the Cats, firing a 1-over-par, 73. Albrecht posted a team-high 13 pars, while tallying two birdies on the afternoon. The Murrieta, Calif., native is tied for 24th at 8-over-par for the invitational.
Senior Betsie Johnson shot a 3-over-par, 75 on Saturday and is tied for 48th at 14-over. The Nicholasville, Ky., native charted a team-best six birdies on the day, with three coming on both the front and back nines.
Freshman Sarah Harris was 10-over for the day and 11-over for the tournament. The freshman is currently second among Wildcats tied for 38th for the event. Fellow freshman Cylia Damerau is 12-over for the invitational and is tied for 42nd.
Junior Liz Breed is tied for 65th at 22-over-par, while senior Heather Lott, who is competing as an individual, in 57th place at 17-over.
