LEXINGTON, Ky. – The UK men’s basketball team earned the overall No. 2 seed in the 2013 SEC Tournament and will play on Friday at 7:30 p.m. ET against the winner of the Arkansas-Vanderbilt game on Thursday.

Kentucky posted a 12-6 record in league play this season and secured the second seed following a 61-57 win over No. 11/9 Florida on Saturday, coupled with an Ole Miss win over LSU that provided the Wildcats the tiebreaker they needed.

The 2013 Southeastern Conference Men’s Basketball Tournament returns to Bridgestone Arena in Nashville for the fourth time. The five-day tournament tips-off on Wednesday, March 13, and runs through Sunday, March 17.

Kentucky has enjoyed unparalleled success in the league’s postseason tournament. In the 51 years the event has been held, Kentucky has captured 27 titles and has won 84 percent of its games in the tourney.
