DADE CITY, Fla. – The University of Kentucky men’s golf team wrapped up its final round of the USF Invitational, carding a 14-over-par, 302 to finish 20-over for the tournament and in seventh place of the 17-team field. The tournament was played at the Lake Jovita Golf and Country Club in Dade City, Fla.

“The Wildcats battled hard today but we just could not get four good scores,” head coach Brian Craig said. “Stephen Powers and Ben Stow both played well this week. Overall, we simply putted poorly. The good news is we know exactly what we need to focus on as we prepare for the Auburn event. There are no mysteries here. This team is talented and will figure it out.”

Powers concluded the tournament as the Wildcats’ low finisher, tying for sixth overall at 2-under-par. The Naperville, Ill., native was 2-over on Tuesday, recording three birdies on the day. The sixth place finish marks the second top-10 finish for the junior this season.

Stow posted the low round of the day for the Wildcats with an even par, 72. The Salisbury, England native tallied four birdies on Tuesday and finished the invitational tied for 14th at 1-over-par.

Sophomore Will Bishop was 6-over for the afternoon and completed the tournament tied for 34th at 9-over-par. Junior Cody Martin (+12) and senior Chase Parker (+25) finished tied for 50th and 84th, respectively. Senior Joseph Barr competed as an individual, finishing tied for 34th at 9-over.

Kentucky returns to the links March 11-12 at the Tiger Invitational in Auburn, Ala.
