AUBURN, Ala. – The No. 25 University of Kentucky gymnastics team will face a familiar foe to open Southeastern Conference competition on Friday. The Wildcats will take on the No. 13 Auburn Tigers for the second time this week inside Auburn Arena beginning at 8 p.m. ET.

The Wildcats totaled 195.125 to finish second in the season-opening quad meet against Auburn, Arizona and Cal on Sunday.

Kentucky finished with a total score more than 195 at the season’s initial meet for the first time in school history. The Wildcats will look to improve and be more consistent in their second meet of 2013.

The team’s junior class led the way in California as Audrey Harrison set a career-high on uneven bars with a 9.9 to finish in a tie for first on the event. Kayla Hartley tied a career-high of 9.9 to win floor exercise.

Harrison’s bars title was the first of her career in the event, while she also ran her career tally of individual titles to eight. Hartley now has four career individual titles, all on beam.

Kayla Sienkowski and Hartley also had career-performances on bars as each picked up scores of 9.75.

Kentucky improved to 29-34 all-time against Auburn last week. The Wildcats have now won three-straight against the Tigers.

The Wildcats open the 2013 home season next Friday with Excite Night at the Kentucky Classic. The Excite Night festivities are set to begin at 6:30 p.m. ET, with the meet getting underway at 7 p.m.
