CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – The University of Kentucky women’s golf team finishes the day in 13th place after a strong day of play from Liz Breed. The team combined for 305 shots, which is 17-over-par, and the same score that they recorded after day one in the tournament.
Liz Breed once again played well, and carded a 72 (E). She had two birdies, two bogeys, and 14 pars. She started the day individually in 30th place and improved to 17th place.
Cylia Damerau recorded the same score as she did on day one, four-over-par, 76. She shot seven bogeys along with three bogeys and eight pars. She dropped one spot to being tied for 42nd.
Sarah Harris shot a 78, which is a 6-over-par. The freshman shot four bogeys, and a double bogey on the 16th hole. Meghan McDougal recorded a 79 in her second round. She shot seven over par with seven bogeys, a double bogey, and two pars to round out the day. Senior Betsie Johnson is in 92nd place at 11-over.
The last round will start Sunday at 8:51 on hole 1 or 10. Johnson will tee off first for the Cats, and then followed by McDougal, Harris, Damerau, and Breed in nine-minute intervals.
