LEXINGTON, Ky. – After being named the Southeastern Conference Offensive Player of the Week on Monday morning, sophomore Arin Gilliland was named one of the week’s “Primetime Performers” by CollegeSoccer360.com, it was announced Wednesday afternoon.

Gilliland tallied the equalizing goal in Friday night’s 2-1 upset victory of No. 13 Florida, while also tacking on an assist that night for her first career multi-point game in the Blue and White. Gilliland additionally scored a goal on Sunday afternoon in UK’s 3-0 win over previously undefeated Mississippi State en route to collecting five points on the weekend.

The Lexington, Ky., native has had a stellar season so far for the Wildcats, as she has scored three goals, added three assists and fired more than 10 shots in the opening eight games of the season. The sophomore defender has started every game this season and was named to both the Tropical Smoothie Invitational, and Cardinal Classic All-Tournament teams.

UK next takes to the pitch Friday night for the second weekend of SEC soccer as the Cats will clash against Arkansas in the weekend opener and then travel to Baton Rouge, La., for the weekend conclusion against LSU.
