• With the loss, Kentucky drops to 1-2, while Western Kentucky improves to 2-1.
• Kentucky leads the series 3-1, including 2-1 in games played in Lexington.
• UK is now 12-2 all-time against teams that make up the current alignment of the Sun Belt Conference.
• Kentucky returns to action on Saturday, Sept. 22, when the Wildcats open the SEC portion of their schedule at Florida. Kickoff is set for 12:21 p.m. ET and the game will be televised on the SEC Network.

• UK now owns a 135-112-4 overall record at Commonwealth Stadium.
• The Wildcats played their first overtime game since facing Tennessee in one overtime in 2009.
• UK owns a 2-5 all-time record in overtime games.
• UK has now held its opponents to a 2-for-7 mark in 2012 on fourth-down conversions.
• WKU RB Antonio Andrews rushed 34 times, marking the first UK opponent to have an individual rush of more than 30 carries since Tennessee’s Montario Hardesty rushed it 39 times on Nov. 28, 2009.
• UK threw it 60 times in the game vs. WKU, its first 60-pass attempt game since throwing 62 times vs. in a triple-overtime game against Tennessee in 2007.
• Kentucky has had 10 or more receivers haul in a catch in each of its first three outings. UK had 11 different receivers make a catch against Louisville and 10 vs. Kent State. Tonight the Wildcats found 11 different patch catchers against Western Kentucky.

Individual Notes

• Sophomore QB Maxwell Smith completed 37-of-60 passes for 332 yards, with two touchdowns.
  • Smith has now had back-to-back 300+ yard games in the air, after throwing for 354 yards in a win over Kent State last week.
  • He is the first UK QB to throw for 300+ yards in consecutive games since Mike Hartline in a two-game span vs. South Carolina and Georgia in 2010.
• Senior WR La’Rod King caught a career-high 10 passes for 84 yards.
  • Has caught 109 passes in his career to become the 13th player in school history to reach 100 receptions.
  • Has 1,432 receiving yards in his career to move into 10th place all-time, passing Kevin Coleman (1995-98), Larry Seiple (1964-66) and Jacob Tamme (2004-07).
• Sophomore WR Demarco Robinson had a career-high seven catches for 75 yards.
• Senior DE Collins Ukwu collected a career-best 1.5 sacks in the game and now has 6.5 sacks in his career.
  • He set a new career high with 10 tackles, eclipsing the seven tackles he had in a win over Central Michigan in 2011.
• LB Alvin “Bud” Dupree set a new career high with 12 tackles.
  • Dupree has made at least one big play (QB sack, tackle for loss, fumble caused, fumble recovery or pass breakup) in seven consecutive games.
• Junior RB Jonathan George finished with 13 rushes for 51 yards and two touchdowns.
  • George also set a new career mark with six catches for 54 yards.
  • His 15-yard touchdown grab marked his first career touchdown reception.
  • George is the first UK player to have a rushing and receiving score since Morgan Newton vs. Central Michigan in 2011.
  • George is the first UK player to have two total rushing touchdowns and a receiving score since Randall Cobb in 2010 vs. Auburn.
• LB Avery Williamson picked off the first pass for the Wildcats this season, the second interception of his career.
  • Williamson led UK with a career-high 14 tackles in the game.
  • He is the first UK player with 14 or more tackles since Winston Guy finished the 2011 season with a 14-tackle effort vs. Tennessee.
• Senior Taylor Wyndham recorded seven tackles including two tackles for a loss, giving him three tackles for a loss in 2012.
• Senior DB Martavius Neloms set a new career high with 11 tackles, eclipsing the previous record of 10 vs. Central Michigan and LSU both coming during the 2011 season.
• Kicker Craig McIntosh nailed his second field goal of the year, a 47-yard kick.
  • He is now 25-for-33 in his career and is 10-for-16 in his career from 40+ yards.
• Freshman WR DeMarcus Sweat returned his second kickoff of the game 51 yards, the longest kickoff return for the Wildcats on the year.
  • Sweat scored the game-tying touchdown on a 22-yard catch-and-run in the fourth quarter, his second career TD and his second in the last two games.
  • He finished with two catches for 24 yards and had a team-high total of 141 all-purpose yards.
