WEST POINT, Miss. – The University of Kentucky women’s golf team wrapped up their second round at the Old Waverly Bulldog Invitational on Tuesday, shooting 6-over-par 294 for the second consecutive day. The Wildcats currently sit in third place for the tournament heading into the final day tomorrow, and trail the leader Arkansas by just three strokes.
“I’m very proud of my team for how they handled themselves today,” head coach Golda Johansson Borst said. “We stuck with it when things got tough on the back nine and made some big par saves coming down the stretch. We are looking forward to playing tomorrow and building on these past two days.”
UK as a team is now at 12-over par for the tournament and is right in the mix going into the final round of 18 on Wednesday. Tulane is in second at 10-over, while Arkansas leads the field at 9-over. Action will resume tomorrow, beginning at 9:30 a.m.
