LEXINGTON, Ky. – The University of Kentucky diving team posted multiple top-5 finishes both individually and in the synchronized competitions on Sunday afternoon at the 2012 AT&T National Diving Championships from the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, N.C.
As an overall team coached by UK head diving coach Ted Hautau, the Wildcats took home fourth place, with the women’s squad taking the overall bronze in third and the men registering a fifth-place finish.
On Sunday afternoon, UK’s Christa Cabot and Lindsay Keahey combined to finish fourth in the women’s 10m platform synchronized finals, in addition to Zack Peterson and Corey Cowger finishing sixth in the men’s 3m synchronized finals.
Also from the Greensboro Aquatic Center, UK’s duo of Christa Cabot and Lindsay Keahey took the bronze medal in the women’s 3m synchronized springboard, locking down third place with a final tally of 266.04 points. Laura Ryan and Meghan Houston, who tallied just over 309 points in the final, snatched the gold.
In the men’s 3m springboard finals, junior Greg Ferrucci finished third in both the preliminary round and the semifinal round before collecting a 13th-place finish in the finals.
