Lexington, Ky. – The University of Kentucky women’s tennis team (6-1, 0-0 SEC) will host their third and final doubleheader of the season tomorrow at the Hilary J. Boone Varsity Tennis Complex. The team will first take on Eastern Kentucky at 10 a.m. ET and will follow with a match against Evansville at 6 p.m. ET.
The Wildcats are fresh off of a successful doubleheader. The team first faced Winthrop for a short and sweet match with a final score, 4-0. Later that evening, the team took on Cincinnati. The Wildcats grabbed every point, only losing one doubles match, to defeat the Bearcats, 7-0. Sophomore Misha Testerman posted her best singles score yet, defeating Cincinnati’s Carly Wilson in straight sets, 6-0, 6-0.
With such an explosive start to the season thus far, the Wildcats look to continue their success as they head into this weekend’s play. This is the first time UK has faced Evansville but Eastern Kentucky is no stranger to the Cats. UK has bested Eastern all fourteen times that the two programs have met.
Kentucky hopes to add two more wins before they play on the road for the first time this season.
