LEXINGTON, Ky. – In March, University of Kentucky head coach John Calipari and the men’s basketball program accepted an offer to play in the 2011 Hall of Fame Tip-Off Classic. UK will play two home games against Radford and Marist as part of the Tip-Off, but the event will be highlighted by a two-day, four-team tournament featuring Penn State, Old Dominion and South Florida along with the Wildcats.
UK will play two games in Uncasville, Conn. as part of the tournament, one versus Penn State on Nov. 19, with the winner facing the winner of the game between Old Dominion and South Florida on Nov. 20.
The tournament has a multi-year broadcast agreement with ESPN. Three of the four games in Uncasville will be carried live exclusively on ESPN3, ESPN’s multi-screen sports network, including Kentucky’s game vs. Penn State on Nov. 19 at Noon ET.
