LEXINGTON, Ky. – University of Kentucky senior cornerback Randall Burden and senior punter Ryan Tydlacka have been named game captains for Kentucky’s contest at LSU in Baton Rouge, La., on Saturday at 12:21 p.m. ET on the SEC Network.
Game captains are usually chosen on the basis of performance in the previous game. The native of LaGrange, Ga., recorded two tackles and a quarterback hurry in the Florida game. Burden has 14 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, one sack, one interception, one pass breakup and one quarterback hurry on the season.
Tydlacka is having a fantastic year for Kentucky and had another solid game last week against Florida with six punts for an average 42.8 yards per punt. The native of Louisville, Ky., has 22 punts this season for an average of 44.4 yards per punt and seven punts that settled inside the opponent’s 20-yard line. Tydlacka ranks third in the Southeastern Conference and 15th in the nation in punting this season.
Burden and Tydlacka will join permanent game captains Danny Trevathan and Stuart Hines at the pregame coin toss.
