LEXINGTON, Ky. –  After completing the third and final round of play Thursday, UK women’s golf sophomore Liz Breed and junior Heather Lott placed fifth overall in the 2nd annual Hooters Women’s Collegiate Team Championship Presented by the National Golf Coaches Association.

Shooting a combined score of 144, Breed and Lott finished the third round at even par and 9-under combined throughout the three rounds.

UK senior Ashlee Rose and junior Megan Moir shot a combined 153 to finish out the final round. The 9-over finish dropped Rose and Moir to a tie for 20th overall with a 4-over final score.

Paired up with another golfer of the same university, the Hooters championship consisted of 55 teams from around the country. The unique amateur championship format featured a different style of play each day beginning with alternate shot on day one. Day two of the tournament featured best ball and the final day was combined score of the two players.
