LEXINGTON, Ky. – Spots for this year’s UK men’s basketball camps including Father/Son Camp, Overnight Camp and 10 satellite camps are filling up fast.
Scheduled for June 17-18 the Father/Son Camp will provide fathers and sons an opportunity to bond, while learning ways to develop their basketball skills. Campers will have the chance to be 1-on-1 with UK coach John Calipari, his staff and current and former Wildcat greats. Fathers will learn drills and techniques that will help them teach their sons to become a better basketball player.
Cost for the Father/Son camp is $160 per individual which includes a Friday Cookout, camp t-shirt, Wildcat Workout Plan, awards and an autograph opportunity.
This year’s Overnight Camp is scheduled for July 24-27. The camp will be dedicated to helping each camper have a tremendous amount of fun while learning new techniques, improving skills, games and much more.
The first three days of camp, day campers will be dropped off at 8:30 a.m. and must be picked up by 8:30 p.m. Each camper will work with and play with campers of appropriate age/talent level.
Cost for the camps are $420 for Overnight Campers and $340 for Day Campers. Included in the cost are daily breakfast, lunch and dinner, camp t-shirt, Wildcat Workshop Workout Plan, team and individual awards and an autograph opportunity.
The satellite camp tour will include 10 sessions in seven cities, beginning with a June 20 stop in Bowling Green (Bowling Green HS) and Bardstown (Nelson County HS). The tour will head to Newport (Newport Central Catholic) and Independence (Twenhofel Middle School) for a session in each location on June 21, followed by stops in London (South Laurel HS) and Danville (Danville HS) on June 22.
The camp tour will continue on June 23 in Louisville at Christian Academy for a pair of sessions and will conclude on June 24 in Pikeville (Pikeville HS) and Hazard (Perry Central HS).
