LEXINGTON, Ky. — With rain throughout the Central Kentucky area, the Kentucky baseball series opener with No. 12 Arkansas has been postponed, with a doubleheader slated for Saturday. First pitch of game one will be at 2 p.m. ET, with the second game of the series set for 7 p.m. ET at Cliff Hagan Stadium.
The second game will be televised live on Fox Sports, with Dave Baker (play-by-play) and former UK great Larry Conley (color) calling the action. The games will be broadcast live on the Big Blue Sports Network (radio) with the Voice of UK Baseball, Neil Price, calling the action. Fans in Lexington can hear the first game live on WGVN 1580-AM in Lexington, WKJK 1080-AM in Louisville and online at UKathletics.com. The second game will be live on WLAP 630-AM, in Louisville on WKJK 1080-AM and online at UKathletics.com.
Kentucky (17-21, 2-13 Southeastern Conference) will start junior righty Alex Meyer (3-5, 3.59 ERA) while Arkansas (27-9, 8-7 SEC) will start sophomore lefty Randall Fant (1-2, 3.12 ERA) in the series opener. In the nightcap, UK will send freshman southpaw Corey Littrell (4-3, 6.13 ERA) to the mound to face Arkansas ace DJ Baxendale (5-1, 1.62 ERA).
