Kentucky used a 22-0 run in the opening stanza and held Vanderbilt to just 11 first-half points en route to a 69-56 win over the Commodores in the semifinals of the Southeastern Conference Tournament. The Cats, who are riding a five-game winning streak into the championship game vs. Tennessee, also forced the ‘Dores into 25 turnovers, marking the fourth time in the last five games UKhas forced 23 or more miscues.

SEC Defensive Player of the Year and All-America candidate Victoria Dunlap charted her 30th career and eighth double-double of the season with 22 points and 11 rebounds while sophomore forward Brittany Henderson had a career day on the boards, grabbing a career-best 18 caroms. Dunlap also swiped a game-high four steals, giving her 301 for her career. She is the only player in school history to record more than 100 assists, 100 blocks and 300 steals in a career.

Sophomore guard A’dia Mathies also scored in double digits, netting 11 points before being sidelined most of the second half with soreness in her lower back.

Dunlap has been the key catalyst all season for the Cats as she ranks in the top half of eight different SEC statistical categories and is the only player in the league to rank in the top four in scoring (17.0), rebounding (8.8), blocks (1.5) and steals (3.2).
