LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Kentucky women’s tennis team is finally coming home. After opening the spring season with their first three games on the road, the Cats will host No. 31 Ohio State in their home opener Wednesday at the Hilary J. Boone Tennis Center at 1 p.m. ET.
The Cats enter their match against the Buckeyes looking to capture their first win of the young season. Ohio State opened its season with a pair of 7-0 victories over in-state foes Cincinnati and Cleveland State. The Buckeyes have dropped their last two matches to Tennessee and SMU and enter Wednesday’s match with a 2-2 record.
Kentucky has been led in the early going by senior Megan Broderick, who has played the No. 1 singles position, as well as sophomore transfer Jessica Stiles and freshman Caitlin McGraw who sports a 2-1 record in singles play. Broderick and Stiles have teamed up to play the No. 1 doubles spot for UK.
Kentucky has a 13-2 record all-time against the Buckeyes, though Ohio State came out on top in the two schools’ matchup last season in Columbus, Ohio.
Parking is available in Parking Structure No. 7 on Sportscenter Drive, adjacent to the Boone Tennis Center. Nearby surface lots are for residential student parking only, and subject to ticket and/or tow penalties without a proper permit.
