Kentucky is now 18-5 overall, 7-3 SEC while Tennessee improves to 22-2, 10-0 SEC.
The loss ends UK’s seven-game winning streak, which was the longest of the season.
Tonight’s attendance of 7,126 was a season high. The previous high was 7,104 vs. Vanderbilt on Jan. 23.
The Wildcats are now 7-47 all-time against the Vols and 5-21 when the game is played in Lexington.
UK is now 1-3 vs. ranked teams this season with a win over No. 12 Notre Dame and losses to No. 3 Duke, No. 4 Tennessee and No. 25 Arkansas.
Kentucky is now 338-140 in Memorial Coliseum, including a 49-16 record at home under Coach Mitchell.
Coach Matthew Mitchell is now 109-74 overall, 79-45 in SEC play, including a 1-6 record all-time against Tennessee.
Kentucky is now 621-461 in 37 years of varsity play and 128-211 all-time in SEC play.
Kentucky travels to South Carolina on Thursday, Feb. 10 at 7 p.m. EST, before returning home for its “WBCA Pink Zone” game to take on LSU Sunday, Feb. 13 at 2:30 p.m. EST on ESPN2.

Kentucky started with the lineup of Victoria Dunlap, A’dia Mathies, Carly Morrow, Brittany Henderson and Kastine Evans for the eighth consecutive game. This lineup is now 7-1.

Key run: With UK leading by one (59-58) with 6:10 to go, Tennessee used a 7-0 run to pull ahead by six (67-61) with 2:15 left. The Cats pulled back within two at 69-67 with 19.0 seconds remaining after buckets by Brittany Henderson and A’dia Mathies but the Lady Vols hit four consecutive free throws in the closing seconds to seal the 73-67 win.
UK led 33-31 at halftime. Kentucky suffered its first loss of the season when leading at the break. UK is now 13-1 when leading at halftime.
The Wildcats were 5-of-20 (25.0 percent) from beyond the arc. UK has now hit a three-pointer in 246 consecutive games, dating back to the 2003-04 season.

UK forced Tennessee into 24 turnovers, including 17 in the first half. The Cats have now forced double-digit miscues in 71 consecutive games, dating back to the 2008-09 season, and are now 50-21 during that span.

- The Wildcats scored 14 points off of those miscues.
- Kentucky has forced 20 or more turnovers in 19-of-23 games this season and is 16-3 when doing so.
Kentucky had 12 steals, nine coming in the first half, and has now forced double-digit steals in 25 of its last 33 games.
UK was outrebounded 45-23, snapping a four-game streak of outrebounding the opponent.
The Cats are now 32-26 in the Matthew Mitchell era in games decided by 10 points or less, including 4-3 this season.

Senior forward Victoria Dunlap recorded 20 points and nine rebounds while grabbing three steals.
- Scored UK’s first seven points of the game.
- With three steals and 279 in her career, Dunlap moves up to No. 2 on UK’s all-time steals list, passing Leslie Nichols who had 278 from 1982-86.
- Has now scored 20 or more points 29 times in her career, including nine this season.
- Has scored in double figures 20 times this season and 87 times in her career.
- Marked her 11th consecutive game with double-figure points.
- Tied her season high in minutes played with 38. She also played 38 vs. Notre Dame.
Sophomore guard A’dia Mathies scored 18 points while recording four steals and four assists.
- Her 18 points were the most since taking over the point guard duties against Georgia, Jan. 9 and the most since scoring 26 points against Murray State on Nov. 26.
- Only Wildcat to score at least one point in all 23 games.
- Charted a game-high steals. She has now recorded at least one steal in 15 consecutive games.
- Tied her career high in minutes played with 39. She also played 39 vs. Tennessee on March 7, 2010 and vs. Arkansas on Feb. 7, 2010.
Freshman Jennifer O’Neill played career-high 26 minutes and scored nine points.
- She hit one 3-pointer has now netted a least one trey in eight consecutive games.
- Charted a career-high three steals.
