Dear Campers,
The University of Kentucky Men’s Golf program continues to achieve tremendous success on the course, and 2005 SEC Coach of the Year Brian Craig and his staff are eager to share the secrets of their success with you! For 2011, UK is offering 2 different styles of camps for you to choose from.
The Wildcat Elite Academy is a unique learning experience for boys and girls ages 13 – 18. This camp will focus on the finer skills required to play golf at the highest level, and is open to anyone who is interested in playing tournament golf. This is a only.
The Wildcat Golf Academy is our overnight residence camp, and it truly has something for everybody. A detailed curriculum of practice, play and fun will be incorporated in the camp to maximize learning and enjoyment. Golf activities typically last 9-10 hours per day, combined with a few seminars and other extra curricular activities. This camp offers overnight and day camp tuition rates.
Both camps will be hosted at the spectacular University Club of Kentucky, and the staff will consist of UK Golf Coaches, other collegiate coaches, and UK Golf team members.
Our #1 goal is to create a learning environment where the student can improve and have a great time in the process. We sincerely hope you decide to attend one of our camps and take part in the excitement that is UK Golf!
Wildcat Elite Academy
Session #1: June 9-10 (DAY CAMP ONLY) – $350 per camper
Session #2: June 11-12 (DAY CAMP ONLY) – $350 per camper
Eligibility:
Boys & girls ages 13-18 who have a desire to play tournament golf.
Camp Package:
Each camper will receive a UK Tshirt, a dozen Nike golf balls, and other golf and UK related items.
Overview:
The Wildcat Elite Academy is very different from any other camp you will find. Our goal is to teach you the finer skills and techniques required to play your best. For two days, we will work with your natural ability and cover everything necessary to help you maximize your potential. We will also conduct three classroom seminars, and answer any questions you may have about competitive golf after high school. NOTE: This camp is two full days of hands on instruction on the lesson tee and short game areas only.
What to Bring:
Golf clubs, spikeless golf shoes, proper golf attire (T-shirts and denim are not allowed at the course).

Wildcat Golf Academy
July 10-14 OVERNIGHT CAMPER – $850 per camper
July 10-14 DAY CAMPER – $775 per camper
Eligibility:
Any boy or girl ages 10-18. Camp is limited to the first 40 paid entrants of the Wildcat Golf Academy.
Camp Package:
Each camper will receive a UK Tshirt, a dozen Nike golf balls, and other golf and UK related items.
Supervision:
Campers will be closely supervised at all times during the week. This includes the Wildcat Golf Academy staff staying in the dormitory with the campers. Please note that those individuals arriving before the scheduled registration time will not be supervised.
Lodging:
All campers will be housed at an air conditioned University of Kentucky dormitory. If you have a roommate preference, be sure to write the name on your enrollment application, and make sure that individual does the same. Roommate requests will be satisfied prior to camp check-in.
What to Bring:
Golf clubs, spikeless golf shoes, proper golf attire (T-shirts and denim are not allowed at the course), bathroom articles, swimsuit, casual clothes, twin sheets, pillow, and spending money ($50 is plenty)

Registration
Please include a $200.00 deposit for the Wildcat Golf Academy, a $100 deposit for the Wildcat Elite Academy, or a $300 deposit for the Camp Combo package. The remainder of the balance for individual camps is due two weeks prior to the start of camp. If you are registering for the Camp Combo package, half of the tuition amount is due two weeks prior to the Wildcat Elite Academy with the remaining balance being due two weeks prior to the Wildcat Golf Academy. Any applications received after that point must include full payment. Letters of acceptance will be mailed upon receiving the application. A final letter with all of the camp specifics will be mailed prior to the start of each camp. There will be a $20.00 administrative fee for early withdrawal from the camp. Any withdrawal after one week prior to the start of camp will result in forfeit of full deposit

Camp Staff
Brian Craig – University of Kentucky Head Men’s Golf Coach
Coach Craig is in his 10th year at the helm of UK Men’s Golf, and he continues to take the program to new heights. In 2005, UK experienced its’ best year to date, winning 6 times, including the programs’ 1st ever SEC Championship. Under Coach Craig, UK competed in 6 of the last 8 NCAA’s, including 3 consecutive top 8 finishes in the NCAA Championship. Prior to UK, Coach Craig spent 2 years at the helm at the University of Central Florida, and prior to that, 2 years at his alma mater, the University of Florida. As the assistant men’s coach at UF, he helped lead the Gators to the 1999 SEC Championship. His own playing career includes an appearance in the 1994 US Open as a professional, Academic All-American honors at the collegiate level, and a national championship as a junior.
2005 SEC Coach of the Year Brian Craig is excited to have you attend either the Wildcat Golf Academy or the Wildcat Elite Academy and experience learning, improvement, and a lot of fun!
David Trainor – University of Kentucky Associate Head Men’s Golf Coach
David Trainor is in his 7th year as assistant coach for the Cats, and has played an instrumental role in the team’s success since his arrival. Even though he was only with the program a short while, Coach Brian Craig attributed a lot of the success to Trainor, including winning the SEC Championship in 2005.
Prior to UK, Trainor worked as an Assistant Golf Professional at The River Course on Kiawah Island, as well as the Plainfield Country Club in Edison, New Jersey, where he was responsible for private and group instruction for the private memberships. Trainor also worked as a senior instructor with the Simon Holmes Golf Academy, training golfers of all skill levels. Coach Trainor also had a short stint as a professional caddy on several major Tours.
Robbie Davis – Florida Southern College Head Women’s Golf Coach
Robbie Davis is in his 15th year has head women’s Golf coach for the Florida Southern College Lady Moccasins. Since Davis became head coach in 1997, Florida Southern has won 23 tournament titles, including 16 in the last six years. Among those are four national championships, one regional championship title, and two conference titles. In addition to the 3 national titles, his teams have finished runner up 4 times at the NCAA Championship. Twenty five of Davis’ players have earned all America honors, with 16 of them being named 1st team all America. Davis himself has also garnered several honors during his tenure. He has been named Sunshine State Conference Coach-of-the-Year 4 times, Golfweek Magazine National Coach of the Year 3 times, as well as the NGCA South Region Coach-of-the-Year, and NGCA National Coach-of-the-Year.
A Lakeland, FL native, Davis is a 1993 graduate of the University of Kentucky. While here, he won two collegiate events, was a two time Academic All-American, and three time member of the SEC All-Academic team. He is also a former Florida State Amateur Champion.
Before his current position with the Lady Moccasins, Davis competed professionally on several mini tours.
