  • Kentucky improves to 4-0 on the season. Washington drops its first game, falling to 3-1.
  • UK is 2-0 all-time against Washington.
  • The Wildcats are now 23-10 against schools comprising the Pac 10.
  • Kentucky will be in action again Wednesday against UConn in the EA Sports Maui Invitational championship game. Tip-off is scheduled for 10:00 p.m. ET with the game being televised on ESPN.

Team game notes

  • The Wildcats used the starting combination of Darius Miller, Terrence Jones, Brandon Knight, DeAndre Liggins and Josh Harrellson for the fourth straight game. Kentucky is 4-0 with that starting five.
  • Terrence Jones jumped center and won the opening tip for Kentucky.
  • Doron Lamb was the first sub off the bench for Kentucky. It was Lamb’s third time this season to be the first Wildcat off the bench.
  • Kentucky extended its streak of game with a three-pointer to 753 games, the third longest streak in the country.
  • After fallowing behind 6-2, Kentucky went on an 18-0 run to take a 20-6 lead. UK’s 18 consecutive points is the longest run of the year for the Cats.
  • UK went on a field goal drought of 7:51 in the middle of the first half. The Cats scored a field goal at the 10:42 mark and then didn’t connect from the field again until Terrence Jones scored in the paint with 2:51 on the clock.
  • The Wildcats trailed 35-34 heading into halftime, the first time this season UK has not led going into the locker room.
  • After Washington went 17-of-26 from 3-point range in its previous Maui Invitational game, the UK defense held the Huskies to 3-of-13 from behind the arc.
  • The Wildcats had two players (Harrellson 14, Jones 17) pull down double-digit rebounds for the second time this season.
  • Kentucky is 8-2 vs. ranked teams under head coach John Calipari and 5-1 against top 15 teams.

  • Posted third double-double this season.
  • Recorded career high 17 rebounds and has 30 in the tournament.
  • Grabbed double-digit rebounds for the third time this season.

  • Played career high 36 minutes.

#12 Brandon Knight

  • Scored 12 first-half points, the third time in four games he has gone for double-figures in the first frame.
  • Finished with a game-high and career-high 24 points .

#34 DeAndre Liggins

  • Tied his career high with three steals.

#55 Josh Harrellson

  • Pulled down eight rebounds, including four on the offensive end in the first half.
  • Finished with a career high 14 rebounds, including seven on the offensive end. Averaging over nine rebounds in last three games.
  • Attempted and connected on his first 3-pointer this season.
  • Played career high 34 minutes.
