FOXBOROUGH, Mass. — Former Kentucky standout midfielder Jason Griffiths, a current member of the New England Revolution, will have his jersey from the team’s Oct. 2 Breast Cancer Awareness match auctioned online at biddingforgood.com and hosted by the New England Revolution Charitable Foundation.

All proceeds from the online auction will be donated to the Massachusetts Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure, who partnered with the Revolution for the Oct. 2 game. The jerseys feature a commemorative MLS W.O.R.K.S. pink ribbon patch.

The auction will launch on Wednesday, Oct. 6 and run through Sunday, Oct. 17 at www.biddingforgood.com/RevsForKomenMA or www.revolutionsoccer.net.

A native of Bracknell, England, Griffiths completed a standout career at Kentucky in 2009, becoming a draft pick of the Revolution in the 2009 MLS SuperDraft. In his first seven professional games played with the Revs, Griffiths has started two games and fired two shots, including one on goal.

During his career at UK, Griffiths was a fixture in the midfield playing in 65 games. He totaled 12 goals and 10 assists (34 points), during his four years, charting two game-winning goals and going a perfect 8-of-8 on regular season, penalty-kick attempts. Griffiths, a two-time All-Conference USA selection, had three goals and one assist in 2009, joining Barry Rice and Dan Williams as team captains for the second consecutive year.
