LEXINGTON, Ky. – University of Kentucky junior Ryan Tydlacka has been named National Punter of the Week by the College Football Performance Awards for his performance Saturday at Ole Miss.

Tydlacka punted four times for an average of 50.5 yards per punt, the best single-game average of his career.  In the fourth quarter, he unleashed a 73-yard punt, the longest punt of his career and the fourth-longest in school history.  The ball was downed on the three-yard line.  The UK defense held there, forcing a punt and giving the Wildcats good field position for a 45-yard touchdown drive.

Tydlacka also had another beautiful punt in the second quarter, a 37-yarder that dropped inside the five-yard line and was downed at the Rebel one-yard line.

For the season, Tydlacka is averaging 46.4 yards per punt, third in the Southeastern Conference.
