LEXINGTON, Ky. – Behind a well balanced pitching and offensive effort the Kentucky softball team posted a pair of wins over visiting Austin Peay on Wednesday at the UK Softball Complex. DeMartine was struck with a pitch to load the bags. Brittany Cervantes then doubled into right-center to score two runners. Aull doubled into the right-field gap and the centerfielder allowed the ball to roll to the wall enabling two more runs to score. Destinee Mordecai found a hole in right-center to score Aull for the last run of the inning and a 10-0 lead.

Austin Peay scored a run in the bottom half of the fifth on back-to-back doubles to make the final 10-1 margin.

In game two, Kentucky struck for a pair of runs in the bottom of the third to take a 2-0 lead. Dill singled up the middle and Yocke brought her home with her fifth round tripper of the season.
