It’s almost impossible to imagine with the six inches of snow blanketing the city of Lexington, but baseball season is indeed upon us. Starting Friday in Myrtle Beach, S.C., the UK baseball season will be underway. The Cats will kick off their season Friday at noon vs. Virginia Tech in the Caravelle Resort Tournament. UK will return to the field Saturday against West Virginia and Sunday vs. Coastal Carolina.Check out the above videos of sophomore stars Andy Burns and Chad Wright previewing the upcoming season. Behind Burns, Wright, Alex Meyer and Braden Kapteyn, the sophomore class is expected to be one of the keys to the 2010 season. As freshmen last season and with Kentucky’s lineup decimated by injuries, the sophomores stepped up and nearly led UK to the postseason. Now with a year of experience under their belts, the Cats are expected to blossom.
