LEXINGTON, KY – UK women’s soccer seniors Julie Hull and Ashley Stack have been named Academic All-District as announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSida) and ESPN The Magazine.
Hull is making her first appearance on the first team, after being named a second-team performer her sophomore and junior seasons. The Biology major from Cincinnati, Ohio is carrying a 3.92 grade point average. She will be making her fourth appearance on the SEC Academic Honor Roll this season.
Stack is making her first appearance on the Academic All-District team, being voted to the second team. In her first season in Pharmacy School, the Malabar, Fla. native has recorded a 3.48 GPA. She too will be making her fourth appearance on the SEC Academic Honor Roll this season.
Twelve Wildcats have received Academic All-District honors a total of 20 times. Hull joins Kelsey Fenix, Sarah Gaunt and Jen Wilkinson as the only three time honorees in UK history.
As a first team selection, Hull is now eligible for Academic All-America voting, with the teams being announced later in November.
