“Buyer Beware” for Tickets Not Bought Through UK or TicketMaster: Fans are reminded “buyer beware” for game tickets not purchased through official outlets – UK Athletics or TicketMaster.
- Tickets that have been reported as lost or stolen have cancelled bar codes and will not be admitted to Commonwealth Stadium.
- UK student tickets are admissible only with a current UK student identification card.
- Fans must beware of counterfeit tickets bearing fake bar codes
Fans Urged to Arrive Early: With the Louisville at Kentucky game set for noon kickoff, fans are urged to arrive at the stadium early to avoid parking delays and also to enter the stadium early to avoid long entry lines at the stadium gates.
Game Programs Will be Given Away: The University of Kentucky football game programs have been re-designed and will be available at a price all fans will love – free.
IMG College Sports, based in Lexington and the publisher for the game programs, will print 15,000 copies of the “Kentucky Kickoff Playbook” each week and distribute them free of charge outside of the stadium gates.
The “Kentucky Kickoff Playbook” – more of a pocket-sized publication – will be 64 pages, all in color, and will include a game preview, team rosters, statistics, starting lineups and additional information about the University of Kentucky, the Wildcat football team and UK Athletics.
“The Official Kentucky Football Yearbook” Can be Purchased at Stadium: In addition to the free game programs, fans also will have the opportunity to purchase the “The Official Kentucky Football Yearbook.”
Also produced by IMG College Sports, the 128-page yearbook includes numerous features about the players, coaches and UK football. The yearbook is available at stadium kiosks, concession stands and at the Nike Team Shops at a cost of $10 each.
Insight Communications to Carry Governor’s Cup Game in Louisville/Lexington: Insight Communications has obtained permission from ESPNU to offer the Governor’s Cup game on Sept. 19 to their analog and digital cable customers is Lexington and Louisville.
Here are the Insight Cable channels that will carry the game:
- Louisville (analog customers): Channel 11
- Louisville (digital customers): 514 for SD, 922 for HD
- Lexington (analog customers): Channel 6
- Lexington (digital customers): 514 for SD, 922 for HD.
