LEXINGTON, Ky. – Here is an update on the availability of single-game tickets for Kentucky football home games, along with the season opener vs. Miami.

• Tickets are available for the Louisiana-Monroe (Oct. 24), Mississippi State (Homecoming, Oct. 31) and Eastern Kentucky (Nov. 7) games. Tickets for Mississippi State cost $40 each while tickets for Louisiana-Monroe and Eastern Kentucky games cost $35 each. These tickets are from the returned visiting team allotment.
• UK has upper-level tickets available ($35 each) for the Sept. 5 season opener vs. Miami in Cincinnati’s Paul Brown Stadium. UK has sold out its allotment of lower level and club level seating. Fans interested in lower level ($45) or club level ($75) seats should contact the Miami Ticket Office at 1-866-684-2957. All seats at Paul Brown Stadium are chairbacks.
• There are no single-game tickets available for the Louisville, Florida, Alabama or Tennessee games.

Wildcat Coaches Get Props From Belichick: The Kentucky coaching staff received compliments from New England Patriots Coach Bill Belichick in an article published in Sunday’s Boston Herald.

Former Wildcat defensive tackle Myron Pryor started and notched a quarterback sack of Donovan McNabb in the Patriots’ exhibition opener against Philadelphia. A feature on Pryor, written by Ian Rapoport, quoted Belichick on how well-coached Pryor was at UK.

“ He’s got a good natural feel for the game,” coach Bill Belichick said. “The defense we play is quite a bit different from what they played at Kentucky, but he’s learning a lot of new techniques. He was very well-coached by coach (Rich) Brooks, some excellent defensive coaches, and an excellent defensive line coach. His fundamentals and his background are very good.”

Safety Net: Coach Rich Brooks expressed optimism about the team’s prospects at the strong safety and free safety positions following Monday afternoon’s practice at the Nutter Training Center.

“They can be interchangeable, so there’s six guys battling for two spots,” Brooks said, referring to seniors Ashton Cobb and Calvin Harrison, along with sophomores Winston Guy, Matt Lentz, Taiedo Smith and Greg Wilson. “I think we’re going to be better at safety than we’ve been since I’ve been here. I feel pretty comfortable with any of those guys right now. It’s just a matter of seeing who gets the edge and who gets the starts. I’m sure there’s going to be some guys rotating in there and getting some snaps.”
