Buy/Renew Season Tickets

LEXINGTON, Ky. — Move over, Emeril! UK Hoops’ head coach Matthew Mitchell and his wife Jenna, are bringing a live edition of the popular coach’s show segment “The Coach’s Kitchen” to Lexington’s Fayette Mall. The second of five events geared toward the drive for 5,000 new season ticket holders will take place on Saturday, July 18, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. ET.

The event is the second of five planned during the summer and fall to help break the current season ticket record of 4,808 set in 2005-06. The entire season ticket campaign is called “Drive for 5K.”
“Our first event was a 5K run in June and it was a great success,” Mitchell said. “We’ve sold almost 700 season tickets and we want to keep that momentum going. `The Coach’s Kitchen’ became one of the most popular segments on the show last year and we thought it would be fun to do it live. Fans will have the opportunity to buy season tickets, win prizes and see my skills in the kitchen. It’s going to be an event you don’t want to miss.”

Season ticket holders present at “The Coach’s Kitchen” event will have the opportunity to win great prizes, including autographed basketballs, women’s basketball VIP game experiences, and a brand new 37-inch Sony HDTV from Pieratt’s. Fans also will have the opportunity to meet members of the team, coaching staff, and have a photo taken with Wildcat and Scratch.

Check-in will be available at “The Coach’s Kitchen” location inside the mall in front of Dillard’s department store from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. ET. Season ticket forms will be available for those who have not yet purchased season tickets.

Season tickets cost just $45 for 17 exciting home games in Memorial Coliseum. This year’s schedule, which will be completed and released later this summer, is highlighted by matchups against first-time opponent Boston University in the season opener on Nov. 13 and intrastate rival Louisville on Dec. 20. The Southeastern Conference schedule also will feature eight home games compared to seven in previous years, as the league has adopted a 16-game slate beginning in the 2009-10 season.
